It was donated by the company neighbor to the Museum.

world tourism day

きのうはWorld Tourism Dayというmuseumのでした。

観光客に向けたイベントをするのかと思いきや、

観光省の方々やルサカを中心としたホテルが来て、

記念樹を植え、懇親会をするというものでした。

Yesterday it was World Tourism Day.

I supposed it was for tourist,

but it was for officer in Ministry of Tourism

and staff working at hotels in Lusaka.

皆で土ならしをして、樹を植え、

We cultivated and plant a memorial tree,

観光省のお役人のスピーチを聴く。

listened to the speech by officers from Ministry of Tourism.

昼食会もありましたが、会費が高いとのことで、museum staffはだれも参加せず。。。

There was also a lunch party, but the reason fee was expensive,

nobody joined that party from the Museum...

ザンビアらしい、イベントでした。

It was just like a Zambian event.

日本から前職の先輩が遥々ザンビアまで遊びにきてくれました。

せっかくなので一緒にリビングストンとボツワナのチョベナショナルパークへ。

My superior in ex-company came to Zambia all the way from Japan.

So we went to Livingstone and Chobe National Park in Botswana.

UPし忘れていましたが、、、

先日同期のSVの方の還暦のお祝いで、

赤いちゃんちゃんこならぬ、チテンゲちゃんちゃんこ作りました。

チテンゲの生地を同期で選び、テイラーさんに頼んで、

同僚に試着してもらいました。

I forgot to up this article...

The other day, we made citenge 'chanchanko'

as a present for our same team, a SV volunteer for his 60th birthday.

We chose citenge cloth and ask tailor to make it up.

Then I asked my fellows to try it on.

Mr.Jacob。

これ着てどこいくんだ？

→どこもいきません。家の楽着です。

Mr.Jacob.

"Where do you go with this jacket?"

"Nowhere. Just put it at home."

どや顔のMr.Chishala。

カンフーウエアではありません。

Mr.Chishala said

"this jacket looks very good on me. Kungfu wear?"

"Not kungfu wear!"
