きのうは半年ぶりに雨が降りました。

そろそろ雨期対策考えないと。。。

Yesterday it was rain in Lusaka after an interval of a half year.

I have to consider how to pass rainy season which is coming soon...

ザンビアの携帯電話はプリペイド式で、トークタイム

（人によってはエアタイム）という通話料のカードを買って

チャージします。

使用期限が9月30日になってますが、なぜかチャージできます。

ザンビアのみなさん、期限が切れても諦めないでください。

僕の職場で今売ってるトークタイムは全部期限切れていて、

毎日買え買えと言ってきます。

The cell phone in Zambia is pre paid one.

So we buy the card to top up charge

which is called talk-time

(some people say it air-time).

On the photo the expiry date is already passed,

but it can be managed.

Everyone in Zambia, don't throw away these talk-times.

All of the talk-time sold in the museum

are out of expiry,so the staff forces me to buy them everyday.

world tourism day

きのうはWorld Tourism Dayというmuseumのでした。

観光客に向けたイベントをするのかと思いきや、

観光省の方々やルサカを中心としたホテルが来て、

記念樹を植え、懇親会をするというものでした。

Yesterday it was World Tourism Day.

I supposed it was for tourist,

but it was for officer in Ministry of Tourism

and staff working at hotels in Lusaka.

皆で土ならしをして、樹を植え、

We cultivated and plant a memorial tree,

観光省のお役人のスピーチを聴く。

listened to the speech by officers from Ministry of Tourism.

昼食会もありましたが、会費が高いとのことで、museum staffはだれも参加せず。。。

There was also a lunch party, but the reason fee was expensive,

nobody joined that party from the Museum...

ザンビアらしい、イベントでした。

It was just like a Zambian event.
